Q1. What is a zine?
A1: A zine, or 'fanzine,' is a collection of fan works dedicated to a specific topic or theme. In this case, the Truth and Inference universe within Identity V.Q2: Will the final product be digital or physical?
A2: The final product will be available in both digital and physical formats for a cost undetermined at this time.Q3: How many contributors will be accepted?
A3: We are looking to accept approximately 20-25 artists, 4-6 merch artists, and 4-6 writers. This estimate includes guests and may change after the results of our interest check.Q4: Can I participate?
A4: Contributors must be 18 or older at the time of application, and will be required to have a discord to participate. Past zine experience is a bonus, but is not required to participate. Anyone with a known history of bigotry or harassment of any kind will not be considered.Q5: Will there be any ships in the zine?
A5: As shipping is not the focus of the zine, explicit depictions of romantic ships, such as kissing, will not be allowed. However, contributors will be allowed to explore the dynamics between characters in their pieces so long as these guidelines are followed. This will be determined on a case by case basis.
For example, a written piece exploring the implied 'courting' of Lady Bella by D.M. as the lead up to her death may be allowed, as long as the tone of the piece matches the 'detective noir' style of Truth and Inference, rather than a 'fluff' style piece.Q6: How will contributors be compensated for their work?
A6: We aim to compensate contributors with a full physical and digital bundle, should enough profits be made. In the event that we do not profit enough to compensate with a full bundle, contributors will be compensated with only a physical zine, and the option to buy the merch items at the cost of production.Q7: What is your policy on AI generated works?
A7: We will not accept AI generated works within contributor applications or as pieces in the zine. If it is discovered that a contributor submits an AI generated piece to the zine, they forfeit their right to compensation.Q8: What charity is the zine donating to?
A8: The zine will use half of its profits to compensate contributors, and the other half will go towards a charity supporting Gaza/Palestine, as was widely requested on our interest check.

Full of suspense, mystery, surprise, and nostalgia, Truth Behind the Lies will feature pieces from the most iconic cases within the Truth and Inference universe.The zine will be a 50/50 charity/profit split, with half of the profits being used to compensate contributors, and the other half being donated to a charity for Gaza/Palestine.
